The Makapuu Sand Band’s second LP again emphasizes the group’s Hawaiian roots. They give us crisp arrangements on
acoustic guitar, slack key and string bass with strong vocals & Hawaiian lyrics just as on their first album. They
were unique and groundbreaking in the late 1970’s. Their vocals display a true expression of love and joy for
their musical roots and Hawaiian heritage. Iaukea Bright and Albert Kaai wrote five new songs expressly for Winds
of Waimanalo. A lost treasure newly found!
