lyric soprano voice delighted million of people for almost
half a century.
Those incomparable vocals, her more than 60 lifetime compositions, and her innovative arrangements
remain as treasures for succeeding generations. She influenced just about every Hawaii falsetto singer after her.
Extensive historical liner notes documenting each composition as well as biographical information and rare
previously unpublished photographs including our cover photo of Lena draped in Lei’s at the 1938 Golden Gate
International Exposition. The recordings span from 1927 to 1962 – from the performer known as the Hawaiian Song
