Kui Lee was known as the genius songwriter who helped catapult Don Ho to fame
with hits like I’LL REMEMBER YOU. This re-release is one of the most
significant Hawaiian albums of the Sixties. And one of Honolulu Magazine’s
50 Greatest Hawaii Albums. Recorded in the last month of his life and originally released nationally just days before his death in December 1966, this is the legendary composer performing his music – his way! Includes the original cover photo from 1966, previously unpublished photos of Lee performing, biographical information, and a look back
at the times and the circumstances that produced such a unique sound in modern Hawaiian music. These are the only known recordings of Kui Lee performing his own compositions, made famous most notably by Andy Williams & Don Ho.
This is what Hawaiian music fans have been waiting for!
